eNewsletter New Enterprise Delivery Service – SendGrid

As was discussed at the GHIN Users’ meeting in November and review webinar in December, we have completed the implementation and testing of our new enterprise email delivery service (SendGrid) that will be utilized for eNewsletters and other ad hoc email delivery needs.  Production eNewsletters for two SRGA’s were sent via SendGrid on January 15th and the process worked flawlessly.  All production ad hoc emails (TPP, eClub, web reports) are now being sent via this service and starting on February 1st, all eNewsletters will also be sent via SendGrid.

This change to an outside service will allow for reliable delivery and will include SendGrid’s expertise on:

  • Manage whitelisting
  • IP address reputation score
  • Email authentication/validation

Please note that this does not impact how you create or schedule your eNewsletters, and does not change the portal to view newsletter statistics.

GHIN Server Maintenance 1/12/15

In our continuing effort to service associations more efficiently it will be necessary to take down the GHIN servers Monday morning,  January 12 at 2:00 am ET for approximately two hours. This will enable us to perform important server updates. We will notify you once the updates have been applied

Thank you for your support and patience during this maintenance period.

GHIN Focus Group Participation

As GHIN continues to prepare for the replatform of its products and services it will be imperative we have validation from SRGA staff and representatives on various aspects. To aid us in this validation, we have created a survey to compile a list of SRGA’s who are willing to participate in this process. Participation may be in the form of a quick question on a particular function or more in depth with scheduled meetings. Our goal at GHIN is to involve as many people as possible from all associations to ensure we have widespread representation geographically, size and demographics of clubs and golfers.

To sign up to participate in our Focus Groups please click this link, SURVEY.

We understand your work schedules and other commitments may not permit you to participate when asked. However, that will not preclude you from being asked again for future assistance. With this is mind we would like to have multiple staff members at the associations with various areas of expertise sign up to participate. If there are staff members who do not receive blog updates please forward the link to the survey so they may sign up.

In addition to SRGA participation, there is an area on the survey that seeks information on club official and golfer participation. Including these types on individuals will aid us in validating areas such as TPP, eClubhouse, and the mobile app.

As the replatform will take place over the next 18 months there will be plenty of opportunities for each of you to get involved. We are excited about the impending changes and look forward to your valuable contributions.
