TPP Club Enhancement – Add Player Released

As a follow-up to our blog post on March 7, GHIN is pleased to let you know the enhancements to Add Player in TPP Club have been moved to the production site and are available for use. The Add Player entry module consolidates the functionality of the Add/Remove from Club Roster, Custom Player Entry, and Tournament Management pages, and  will provide rapid entry of both members and guests from the same page.

A few tips to keep in mind when using the Add Player function:

  • When searching for a GHIN Guest by last name you MUST include a comma (,) after the last name to initiate the search (will automatically start after two seconds).
  • When searching for a player on the club roster or master player list be sure to enter at least the first two letters of the last name to initiate the search. The more letters you type, the more it will narrow down your search results.
  • Note that you don’t have to hit the Enter key after typing in a name or number. The search will start automatically two seconds after you stop typing.

To review other highlights of this release please refer to the previous blog post.

A webinar has been schedule for Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm ET. For those that would like to attend we ask that you register in advance by clicking on this LINK.

For those who are unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and placed on the Info Portal for reference.

TPP Club Enhancement – Add Player Entry

3/14/14

As many of you know, software development is not an exact science. Because of this fact, the TPP Club Enhancement – Add Player will not be released this week as previously discussed. We will notify you once the changes have been moved to the production site and will also reschedule the webinar showcasing the new features once the deployment is complete.

GHIN will be releasing enhancements to TPP Club which will assist the tournament administrator in entering players into an event in an easier fashion. This will be released the week of March 10, 2014.

Please Note: GHIN will notify you when these changes and enhancements are moved to the production site.

The Add Player Entry module consolidates the functionality of the current Add/Remove from Club Roster and Custom Player Entry pages, and  will provide rapid entry of both members and guests from the same page. This development is being done using the new UI/UX framework and discovery during this phase will be used to facilitate the refacing development across TPP Club.

A new Add Team Entry will also be developed to streamline the entry of pre-defined teams and will follow with a release planned for the March/April timeframe.

The Players menu in TPP Club Administration will be reorganized to make the new Add Player Entry option prominent and other links re-positioned to consolidate the menu (structure shown below).  All pre-existing features will still be available, but may appear in a different place on the new menu.
