Release of New TPP Online Web Services

GHIN is pleased to announce the release of a set of new web service methods to extract tournament, player, and member program information from TPP Online.  While these web services were developed with CRM in mind, they can be used by any application that would like to retrieve data from TPP Online.  An example would be an association web site where an association member may log in to see his or her profile, which now can include a richer set of tournament playing history and alerts on upcoming association tournaments that the player is eligible to enter.

The new methods are organized into three web service groups:

Tournament Methods:

  1. TournamentList – Returns a list of tournaments played/scheduled within a specified date range.
  2. TournamentPlayers – Returns a list of players participating in a specified tournament.
  3. TournamentEligiblePlayers – Returns a list of players eligible to sign up for a specified tournament.

Player Methods:

  1. TournamentsEntered – Returns a list of tournaments for a date range that a specified golfer (by GHIN Number) played in.
  2. TournamentsCanEnter – Returns a list of upcoming tournaments for a date range that a specified golfer is eligible to enter.
  3. MemberProgramsJoined – Returns a list of member programs for a date range that a specified golfer joined.

Member Program Methods:

  1. MemberProgramList – Returns a list of member programs defined for a specified date range.
  2. MemberProgramMembers – Returns a list of players who belong to a specified member program.

We have posted a document describing these new web services at the USGA InfoPortal in the following location: GHIN->Documents->TPP Online->TPP Online Web Services->TPP Online Web Services for CRM Guide.

GHIN must update your association TPP Online database to enable these web services.  If you are interested in using them, please contact Mark Swartz at

If you have suggestions for new TPP Online web service methods please note that we have updated the GHIN Users’s Voice site ( to include a new category named TPP Online Web Services.  Please post your ideas using this category.

Happy Holidays!

IMPORTANT – Setting up the 2014 Membership Season in eClubhouse

Now that future seasons can be setup (prior to this release there was only one) clubs that are using eClubhouse to collect payments for membership MUST create a 2014 season for every Membership Type the club offers.  This is true whether they are collecting payments by cash, check or credit card.

This will ensure that golfers renewing their membership or joining the club for the first time will be applied to the correct season and subsequently the golfer will be charged the correct fee.

A season will need to be setup for each Membership Type.  Please download the eClubhouse Club Users Guide from the InfoPortal (Documents->eClubhouse – eGolfer->eClubhouse 2013 – Ektron Platform) and make sure your clubs get a copy of it to assist them.  “Manage Membership Types” is the admin section where seasons are setup. This information can be found on page 38 of that document.

If a club is not handling membership administration via eClubhouse, they would not have to worry about setting up seasons.
