Web Ed: GHP Online – CRP Integration and Course Mappings

GHIN is pleased to announce that the topic for the March Web Education (Web Ed) session will be GHP Online – CRP integration and how the process of mapping CRDB courses to CRP course is performed.  The two sessions will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. (Eastern) and 2 p.m. (Eastern).  This session will provide an overview of the process describing how the CRP will be integrated into GHP Online and other GHIN products.  Additionally, we will cover the new functionality of the “CRP to GHP Course Mapping Management” feature and how the association can utilize it.  Examples will be used throughout and if time permits we may even demo some new functionality coming to the GHP Online platform.  This session will be presented by Joe Cavallo, Manager, GHIN Project Management & Quality Assurance.  The session will run approximately 20 minutes as an online meeting using GotoWebinar.

PLEASE NOTE: USGA has switched from using Microsoft’s Live Meeting to Citrix’s Product: GotoWebinar.

GHIN Products and Services – Integration is Key

GHIN is pleased to announce that our on-going effort of integrating various GHIN and USGA products took a significant step forward this morning. GHP Online and GHIN web services which support our VASP and association users were pushed this morning. Moving forward GHIN will continue to look at ways to integrate our products and services with USGA developed products, as well as, improving integration with third party vendors. Our ultimate goal is to provide associations and their member clubs with an experience where centralized data can be available across all of our platforms. Read the rest of this entry »

22 March 2012 (GHP Online \ CRP Integration) – Release Notes

2840: Web services – CRP Data

GHIN added additional group of web services methods that target CRP related courses.

2854: Update Tee Selection lists to only pull “mapped” courses from associations that are complete

Once your association has completed all mapping requirements, course/tee selection and posting for GHP Online Association & Clubs will be exclusively using CRP Course information, allowing access to all course’s administered via the USGA Handicap System and not just GHIN associations.

2904: Ability to “Search” by email address via the Golfer Search/Lookup Page

Allow for the ability to search by a golfers email address in both GHP Online – Association & GHP Online – Clubs.  This has been added to the Golfer Search pages.  You can use the % (wildcard character) to assist you if you do not know the exact email address.

2905: eGolfer Filter – Add to GHP Online

We have added an additional feature to the Golfer Search/Lookup pages in GHP Online – Association & GHP Online – Clubs.  The filter is entitled eGolfer and it contains 4 possible filtering options:

Ignore eGolfer Status (Default) – using this filter will ensure that the lookup pages return golfers regardless if they have an eGolfer account or not.

Non-eGolfers Only – using this filter setting will return your subset of golfers where they do not have an eGolfer account.

eGolfers Only – using this filter will return your subset of golfers that have an eGolfer account

Show eGolfer Status – this is similar to the first filter in that it does not take whether the golfer has an eGolfer account as part of the filter, what does is it adds an additional column called eGolfer, which will show you what golfers have an eGolfer account based on the “Yes/No” labeling.  Yes, the golfer has an eGolfer account, No, the golfer does not have an eGolfer account.

2943: eGolfer Username – Added to Golfer Maintenance

A new feature has been added to the golfer Maintenance page of both the GHP Online – Association and GHP Online – Club web applications.  Under the Name/Address tab, there is a non-editable display box that will show the username of an eGolfer if the golfer has an eGolfer account.  This is part of the integration between systems that will make troubleshooting and day to day maintenance of your membership a little easier.

2944: eClubhouse URL / eCommerce Status / Enrollment Status – Added to Service Maintenance

A new feature has been added to the Service Maintenance page of both GHP Online – Association and GHP Online – Clubs.  If an eClubhouse site exists for the service a new section called “eClubhouse Information” will display “Under the Last Transmission/Download Information” section.

Note: this integration is with the new eClubhouse platform, so it will NOT be checking against the Runtime platform eClubhouse sites.

“eClubhouse Information” will only display if the service has an eClubhouse site.  The section will contain “Club number” and a “clickable URL” of the eClubhouse site. If you click on the URL link, the eClubhouse site will be opened in a new browser window. The section will also indicate if the eClub site is setup with eCommerce (with a Yes or No) and if enrollment for the eClub site is (Open or Closed).

This is part of the integration between systems that will make troubleshooting and day to day club maintenance easier.

2952: eClubhouse Filter Added to Club/Service Search Page

The Club/Service search page now has an additional filter labeled, eClubhouse.  The options for this filter include:

Note:  This functionality is part of the integration with the new eClubhouse platform, so this will NOT be checking against the current RunTime eClubhouse platform.

Show eClubhouse Info – will add a column (called eClub) to the club-service results grid that will indicate by Yes/No as to whether the service has an eClubhouse associated with it.
eClubhouse Only – Adds the eClub column to results grid and will only return services that have an clubhouse site.
Non-eClubhouse – Adds the eClub column to results grid and will only return services that have no clubhouse affiliation.
Ignore eClubhouses – removes the eClub column header and whether a service has an affiliation with an eClubhouse has no bearing on the results set.

2953: Web Service Methods – Security Enhancments

Additional enhancements have been made to the web services in order to reduce the amount of information a user of these services can access if they do not have the permissions granted by specific associations.
The most significant enhancement was made to the “FindGolfer” method in Golfer Methods group.  Now, if you do not have the proper permissions, The following items are cleared if you do not have access to the golfer in that club:
Address1 = Nothing
Address2 = Nothing
City = Nothing
State = Nothing
Zip = Nothing
MemberType = Nothing
DateOfBirth = DateNull
Email = Nothing
MembershipPaidTime = DateNull
Local = 0

2922: GHP Online – Association, Club Search Issue

GHIN addressed an issue regarding the “club type” filter on the club/service search page on GHP Online – Association.  If you identify a specific club type, only services set to that club type will be returned in your search results.
