GHP Online: Development Update (6/29/2011)

This afternoon GHIN released a new version of it's GHP Online™ – Associations web application. While the release of this version (and the one released on May 23rd) include many feature enhancements and bug fixes, they also coincide with the deployments of our new web application for clubs; GHP Online - Clubs. Release Notes: 2011 June 29th

2311: Player Settings tab added to Golfer Maintenance

Golfer Maintenance now includes a 6th tab entitled “Player Settings”.  The following fields are available for modification:
Player Default Tee
Print Group Information
Player Score Entry Method
**Note these fields are not routed back to the club’s PC at this time and will be used as a player’s setting when GHIN releases it’s online Score Posting “Kiosk” solution.
tab now will allow a for the maintenance of a player’s default tee

2615: Improved Error-handling component

GHP Online now has a custom “Error-Handling” component, where if an application, browser or server related error occurs, the user will see a pop-up window that contains specific error details.  This should assist in relaying accurate error details from the user to GHIN.

2612: Optional Fields – Editable and Routed to PC

Under the Miscellaneous tab in golfer maintenance, GHIN has implemented the ability to add/modify or remove optional field data at the golfer level.
**Note this information will be routed down to the “Working Club” for the golfer where the changes were made.

2613: Change Golfer Statuses – Added “Status” Filter

Added an filter under the “Change Golfer Statuses” functionality.  In addition to Assoc #, Club # and Service #, you can now filter by status.  This allows the user to view only “inactive” golfer within a club and then use the grid columns to sort by an additional criteria.

2599: Changing Billing Info via GHP Online – Edit Messages

GHP Online will now write out the following edit message when either the “Club Billing Type” or “Club Billing Flag” is modified.
GOLFER BILLING DATA RESET

1916: IGN Number & Association not routed when changed via GHP Online

Golfer IGN information, including IGN Number and Association, are now be synchronized between GHP 5 and GHP Online.  The big change here is that IGN information updated via GHP Online – Association will be picked up at club during their next transmission

2327: Active Golfers in Inactive Services

Both our stored procedures and communication programs have been modified to eliminate the opportunity for an active golfer to belong to an inactive service.  This includes, but is not limited to: Player Adds, Transfers, and Reactivates from GHP 5, eClubhouse, GHP Online etc…

2636: CRDB Maintenance – Performance improvements

Our DBA (Dan Timmons) has re-engineered the process of CRDB maintenance in an effort to combat some performance issues that were reported.  He has made significant improves already, and should you still endure long response times when performing tee maintenance, please contact our Technical or Productions Support group ASAP…

TPP Online Update – 2011 June 1st

Today GHIN deployed a significant release for TPP Online™, arguably one of the most significant updates of the TPP Online solution to date. GHIN development continues to balance deploying feature requests, program corrections, and replicating the remaining rich client functionality. 2465: New Pagination/Scrolling Gridview Implemented

A feature has been added to the Grid control used throughout TPP Online. GHIN is reusing the Grid Control that was introduced in April as part of the April 13th release of GHP Online Associations. The grids that display results or other listings can now be set (and retain) the number of rows returned when viewing and working with these specific grid views. For example, on the Tournament List page, users can define the number of items to return (25, 50, 100, 250 or 500). This setting will hold so that the next time the user views their tournament list it will automatically return the number of items the user chose during the previous selection.

2484: Questionaires – Added the new grid control to the Answers Page

The existing Questionnaire Page which displays the answers to the questions prompted during tournament registration did not have ability the ability to page through the compilation of answers. So this page now has the new grid control that allows for pagination and definition of number of rows to be returned. See Release Notes for Case 2466.

2526: TPP Online Points – Header.inc and Footer.inc files now displaying

We have now added a place holder for the header and footer so they will display on the Category Points Report.
When you are logged in, the admin banners will be used for reports. The INC files will only show for the non-logged in view.

2531: TPP Pairing Management – Apply to Another Round Button

Added the functionality with Pairings Management to “Apply Pairings to Another Round”. This is useful when making pairings manually or making numerous modifications of existing pairings. Once you save your pairings you can then apply them to another round within the event.

2577: Create Match Play Pairings – Replicate Client Functionality

The Create Matches and Pairings function, located under the pairings menu provides you with the necessary steps to guide you through the process of creating match play pairings.

2580: Create Flights (Players) – Replicate Client Functionality

The main function of the Create Flights screen is to provide options to set up flights by players and to remove player flights. Advanced flighting features are also available via the Create Flights screen, enabling you to create unlimited flight groupings and to add new names to your flight groupings so they can be easily identified in other parts of the program.

2581: Create Flights (Teams) – Replicate Client Functionality

The main function of the Create Flights screen is to provide options to set up flights by teams and to remove team flights. Advanced flighting features are also available via the Create Flights screen, enabling you to create unlimited flight groupings and to add new names to your flight groupings so they can be easily identified in other parts of the program.

2555: Pairings Management – Replicate Client Functionality

The Pairings Management screen provides options to customize pairings to the greatest extent. You can move players from one pairing group to another, delete pairing groups, or add pairing groups. You can add players/teams to pairings who joined the tournament after pairings were made, and you can remove players/teams from pairings while keeping them in the tournament for future rounds. You may repeat pairings, just as they are, for another round in the tournament, using the Apply to Another Round function.
Also included are the all the right-click functionality that makes this function so versatile.
Right-clicking options include:

2556: Team Management – Replicate Client Functionality

The Team Management screen provides options to move players from one team to another, delete teams, add teams, or rename teams. Also, you can remove players from teams while keeping them in the tournament for individual play.
Also included are the all the right-click functionality that makes this function so versatile.
Right-clicking options include:

2557: Create Stroke Play Pairings – Replicate Client Functionality

The main function of the Stroke Play Pairings screen is to provide options to set up stroke play pairings and starting times.
Also included are the options that allow you create pairings for all types of events and situations.
So areas to highlight are:
Number of player/teams per group
Pairing Method – Applicable options whether pairing by players or Teams
Pairing utilizing Flights (Individually, with Overlap, etc.)
Wave Options

2596: Flight Management – Replicate Client Functionality

The Flight Management provides options to view flight information, to move players/teams from one flight to another, add or remove players/teams to and from flights, change the sort order for flights, delete flights, add flights, or rename flights. Also you can remove players/teams from flights while keeping them on the tournament list.

2583: TPP Online Club Officials – Error in Sending Email when Registering as a Club Official

Affects only the associations using the Club Officials application. An issue has been addressed where emails were not being sent to all golfers that the club official was registering. This has been addressed and confirmed that all golfer and the club officials are receiving emails after a successful registration.

2584: IE8 Only – “Allow most likely Score” check box does not allow an ‘X” score

Issue has been addressed that affected only users of IE8 and using player scoring. If in the scoring options you had checked to “allow for most likely score”, IE 8 was not permitting you to input an “X7”. This has been addressed.

2585: Auto-Advance fails – BestBall Setup when a player has X on a score

An additional issue was resolved in player scoring when using a Best Ball format. The issue was that if a golfer in a team had “X”ed on a hole, and you were scoring HBH another golfer on the team the auto-advance option did not work for the hole where the teammate had scored an “X”. This has been addressed and auto-advance in player HBH scoring is working as expected.

2573: Reassign Tees – Flights show “Multiple” for a round

Addressed an issue where Reassign Tees was showing “Multiple Tees” for flighted teams in a given round, whereas the client was showing the specific tee that was being played. This issue has been addressed.

2550: Full results link on scoring widget for a team event links to individual player results

Addressed an issue with using the scoring widget for team events. If you clicked on the “Full Leaderboard Results”, it would bring you to the player result page instead of the team result page. This has been addressed.

2527: Player Scoring – Server Error when trying to edit a total gross score

In Player Scoring an issue was addressed when trying to edit an individual golfer’s Total Gross Score. This impacted very few scoring scenarios.

2474: TPP Online Admin Scoring – Player Scoring

Addressed an issue with Player Scoring using Total Score as the method for Score input. If a user entered in a Total score and then entered in an ESC score that was different, upon tabbing out of the ESC score field, the ESC score was being set to the Total score that was entered.

2558: Number Sign (#) in tournament name causes issues

An issue has been addressed where the use of the number sign (#) in a tournament name caused the “email a friend” function to not include the link to the scoring page in body of the email being generated.
